I'm writing a novel that takes place in the west, and one of the things I want to do is to not fuck up the representation of native people. I'm of course doing some research, but I want to know some basic things to avoid, since the majority of what I'm doing is made up(It's somewhere between a first world and second world story).

If some research isn’t enough, do more! 

No offence, but I don’t have the time to put together a list that would help you be more accurate.

  2. kjacqueline said: Whatever area you’re writing about just look up who was indigenous to that specific area. Then do more research on those people. Google.com y’all! It’s there for a reason!
